Job Summary
Suitable candidate is responsible for preparing and managing the Bill of Quantities (BOQ) specific to water treatment facility construction. This role ensures accurate measurement and estimation of costs related to various components, including process equipment, pipelines, civil works, and electrical systems. Experience with water treatment projects or similar infrastructure projects preferred. Proficient in quantity surveying software and Microsoft Office applications like Microsoft PROJECT and PRIMAVERA. EXCEL, AutoCAD 2D. Experience in project planning using specialized software.
Key Responsibilities
BOQ Preparation:
Develop detailed Bills of Quantities for water treatment projects based on engineering drawings and specifications.
Accurately measure and quantify materials and labor requirements for various treatment systems (e.g., filtration, disinfection, sludge management).
Cost Estimation
Prepare comprehensive cost estimates for the project, including equipment, installation, and operational costs.
Collaborate with suppliers to obtain quotations for materials and components.
Tender Support
Assist in the preparation of tender documentation by providing precise quantities and supporting financial data.
Evaluate bids received from contractors and prepare comparison reports.
Contract Management
Support contract negotiations and clarify the scope of work, ensuring alignment with the BOQ.
Monitor project progress, manage changes, and accurately record variations in scope or quantities.
Site Coordination:
Conduct site visits to verify quantities against on-site work and ensure compliance with design specifications.
